How to Apply for an Import Permit
Under Section 21 of the Animal Diseases Act No. 59 of 1992, any person wishing to bring animals or animal products into Sri Lanka must first obtain an import permit issued by the Director General, Department of Animal Production and Health (DAPH).
How to Apply for an Import Permit
- Step 1 – Check Requirements
- Review the health and other requirements for your animal or product category.
- Ensure you have all supporting documents ready.
- Step 2 – Complete the Application Form
- Fill in the application form accurately.
- Attach all required documents.
- Step 3 – Submit Your Application
