Registration Livestock Farms
All livestock holdings (including poultry) in Sri Lanka should be registered with the respective divisional veterinary offices as per Animals Act No 29 of 1958. Once registered, the respective holding will be given a registration certificate carrying an unique identification number. For further details contact Provincial Director in the respective province.
Guidelines for Farmers :
- Fill Application obtain from the relevant Veterinary Surgeons office before 31st of January in each year
- Submit the application to the vs office
Guidelines for Veterinary Surgeons Office :
- Inform all livestock farms to register their farms before 31st of January in each year
- Obtained filled application
- Verify filled information by the Livestock Development Instructors
- Enter the the information in to the register
- Issue registration certificate to the farmer
- Give approval by Veterinary Surgeon to enter into the online registration platform
