With a team of experienced professionals and state-of-the-art facilities, we are committed to promoting sustainable breeding practices and improving the overall performance of livestock populations.

  1. Production, importation and continuous supply of required Deep Frozen semen (DFS) for genetic upgrading of cattle, buffalo and goats population. The farmer must register his farm in relevant Veterinary Surgeon's (VS) office if he needs to use artificial insemination services. Locally produced DFS distribute to each and every VS office based on the provincial requirement once in every three weeks.

Imported semen will be issued on request of VS with the recommendation of relevant PD and approval from the Director (A/B). Duly Completed format 1 (Imported Semen Request format) must be sent in order to request imported semen while format 2 (Progress of Semen Usage) should be used to report the progress in semen utilization to the AB Division.

Semen could be requested from Director (A/B), DAPH by milk processing companies under Public-Private-Partnership (PPP), medium and large scale farms through the format 3 (Semen request from milk processing companies and private farms) while format 4 (Progress of Semen Usage from milk processing companies and private farms) should be used to report the progress in semen utilization to the AB Division

3. Developing specifications and examining animal pedigrees to ensure quality and compliance with standards when importing semen and AI equipment.

4. Quality testing and certification of AI equipment and semen, imported by the government and private sector.

5. Training of artificial insemination technicians and conducting refresher trainingfor existing technicians to expand and enhance the efficiency of the artificial insemination service. This focus on training and introducing new techniques and advancements in the field, ultimately benefiting the national AI Program.
