Any person who intends to export poultry meat should register the poultry meat processing establishment (chicken meat processing and further processing) in Sri Lanka has to obtain approval and register with the Department of Animal production and Health as per the Animal Disease Act No 59 of 1992, conforming to the health standards stipulated by the Department. Once the poultry processing establishment is registered it is subjected to annual renewal.
